CUT OFF CIRCULAR SAW BLADES

SAWTEC produces a wide range of HSS circular saw blades, from 170 to 700mm diameter, for cold cut technology.

Saws can be supplied in M2 or M35 steel, provided by the most important European steel producers.

This kind of tool can equip every kind of static or flying cut-off, with peripheral speed between 10 and 250m/min.

HSS Dmo5 CIRCULAR SAW BLADES

Circular saw blades produced in HSS Dmo5. Suitable for cutting soft steels up to 600 N / mm2 and medium steels of 700 - 900 N / mm2. Circular saw blades normally used also for cutting Brass, opper and Aluminum. We can supply them with our surface coatings Easy Cut, Best Cut, Silver Cut and Extreme.

HSS Co5 CIRCULAR SAW BLADES

These saws blades, with the contribution of 5% cobalt, are particurarly indicated for cutting INOX, INCONEL and generally hard steel. Especially recommended for orbital cutting machines. We can supply them with the following surface coatings Best Cut, Extreme and Intensive.

FORCE SERIES CIRCULAR SAW BLADES

This is our TOP product. These special circular saws have an extra fine grain that gives a great wear resistance and toughness. These features allow very high performance that approaches the TCT saws, but with the advantage of being able to be resharpened. They are recommended for cutting high resistant materials, stainless steels and also to work with very high cutting speed. These saws need a very special production cycle. Thanks to this they have a very high hardness together with high toughness. We always deliver them with INTENSIVE multiplayer coating and very low run out and flatness tollerances.

RAW MATERIAL QUALITY

HSS DMO5; M2; 1.3343; SKH51

This is a Wolfram - Molybdenum high speed steel. These elements confer the steel very high technical characteristics maintaining an excellent tenacity. The molybdenum reduces the fragility allowing the formation of a very fine martensitic grain, increasing as well the limit of elasticity, which allows a great cutting performance. The Wolfram is an excellent former of very hard carbides, giving the sawblades great tenacity, great wear resistance and high temperature resistence improving the cutting capacity. The Vanadium contributes to the formation of hard carbides that improve the wear out resistance.

HSS-E; M35; 1.3243

This is a Wolfram - Molybdenum - Cobalt high speed steel. The difference to HSS-DMo5 is the content of 5% cobalt. The cobalt contributes to give a very good tenacity and long lifetime especially when used at high temperatures. These characteristics are important, as they allow to recommend this steel to cut INOX and materials of high mechanic resistence that during cutting process produce high temperature in the contact area.

POWDER STEEL

It is a steel obtained through the metallurgical sintering of the high speed steel powder. This technology allows to obtain a steel with a very reduced tension and a great homogeneity in its composition and distribution of carbides, etc. This results, with a saw of great durability in the cut and a greater tenacity despite the fact that the hardness is higher (67 HRC).

SAWTEC offers 5 different kind of coatings for every specific application.

Each coating presents its own features and it is dedicated to a particular cutting need.

EASY ST

Easy ST is a surface coating with 3 microns thickness layer, with a Titanium base, yellow colored, with the following characteristics:

  • It has a microhardness of 2.300 - 2.500 (HV 0,05)
  • Friction Coefficient: 0,55
  • Oxidation Temperature: 500º

BEST ST

Best ST is a surface coating with 2,5 microns thickness layer, with a Titanium and Carbon base, which gives a high hardness and a low friction. It is suitable for cutting medium hardness materials up to 800 N/mm2. It has the following characteristics:

  • It has a microhardness of 3000 (HV 0,05)
  • Friction Coefficient: 0,22
  • Oxidation Temperature: 450º

SILVER ST

Silver ST is a surface coating with 3 microns thickness layer, with a Chrome base, specially recommended for cutting soft materials such as Brass, Bronze, Aluminium, etc.

It has the following characteristics:

  • It has a microhardness of 2.000 (HV 0,05)
  • Friction Coefficient: 0,35
  • Oxidation Temperature: 600º

EXTRA ST

Extra ST is a surface coating with 3 microns thickness layer, with a Titanium and Aluminium base, combining high toughness of the multilayer structure with high hardness. It allows machining at high speed, with few lubricant and suitable for cutting materials with a hardness up to 1100 N/mm2, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, etc. It has the fol-lowing characteristics:

  • It has a microhardness of 3.400 (HV 0,05)
  • Friction Coefficient: 0,45
  • Oxidation Temperature: 800º

INTENS ST

Intens ST is a surface coating with 3 microns thickness layer, with a Titanium and Aluminium base with an additive, which gives an additional protection to the coating, due to the lubricant effect, that prevents the chip microwelding. Suitable for cutting materials with a hardness up to 1.100 N/mm2, Stainless Steel, INCONEL, etc.

It has the following characteristics:

  • It has a microhardness of 3.500 (HV 0,05)
  • Friction Coefficient: 0,40
  • Oxidation Temperature: 900º

TOOTH FORM

DIN 1837, A - FINE TOOTH

The toothform A and AW are mainly used for works of fine mechanizing and jewellery with short chipping. The tooth pitches are from 0,8 to 6, mm. According to external diameter and thickness and are used for minor cutting deepths, generally from 3 to 5 mm.

AW - TOOTH WITH ALTERNATED BEVELS

Form AW has the same characteristics, but producing smaller chips.

DIN 1838 B - GROSS TOOTH

Form B is conceived to cut deep, materials with long chipping. This geometry is adequate to ease the chip formation and remove from the work area. It is recommended to cut sections bigger than 5 mm.

BW - TOOTH WITH ALTERNATED BEVELS

Form BW is adequate for cut off machines cutting profile up to 3-4 mm, although in small blades this toothform can also be used cutting profiles thicker than 5 mm. Bevel size is 2/5 of thickness to reduce the cutting strength.

DIN 1838 C (HZ) PRECUTTER TOOTH WITH SIDE BEVELS AND FINISHING TOOTH WITHOUT BEVELS

The effect of this toothform is to reduce the necessary efforts of mechanizing a working piece. The precutter tooth is 0,15 / 0,3mm higher than the finishing tooth, with side bevels, cutting the precutter only 1/3 in the center of the sawblade's thickness and the finishing tooth the remaining 2/3 on the sides.

BR - FORM B WITH CHIPBREAKER

The latest novelty in relation to toothform. Especially indicated to cut tubes. The chipbreaker is a fine slot of 0,4 mm on top of the tooth. It obtains 25% more performances than form BW.
